James Douglas
CHAIR - NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
James has three decades experience in the Trust and Financial Services Industry. He has previously acted as TOWER Insurance’s Chief Executive Officer, prior to that, James was the Managing Director for 7 of his 12 years at Guardian Trust.
James is currently an Independent Director of Perpetual Trust Limited and has also held directorships in a number of New Zealand companies, including TOWER Life Limited, Asteron Life New Zealand Limited, and National Insurance Life & Health Limited.
James holds a Bachelor of Commerce and attended a Management of Professional Firms programme at Harvard University.

Dennis Church
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dennis is an experienced senior executive in the financial services industry. He has over 30 years’ experience, including as a General Manager for two corporate trustee businesses, covering the supervision of a wide range of securities and financial products, including KiwiSaver and other superannuation schemes, debt securities, securitised assets, covered bonds, retirement villages, and marinas.
He has also held roles in share broking and as a management consultant for an international consultancy.
Dennis holds an MBA, is a chartered accountant and a licensed independent trustee.

Murray King
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Murray was a partner in the Banking and Financial Services Department of Bell Gully for 24 years and then remained as a consultant with the firm for a further two years.
He has broad experience in all aspects of debt capital markets and is a recognised expert in the securitisation field. During his legal career he advised the leading statutory supervisors on both wholesale and retail debt issues and securitisation transactions.
Murray holds a BCom/LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Auckland.

The Board sets the strategic goals of the Company and oversees the execution of business strategy.
The Board is composed of non-executive Directors, which allows it to focus on TE’s compliance with licensed obligations.

Trustees Executors is governed by a Board of Directors with a deep understanding of the special fiduciary responsibilities involved with a Statutory Trustee Company and Licensed Supervisor.
Statutory and Licensed Activities
Trustees Executors is a trustee company under the Trustee Companies Act 1967, allowing it to be appointed to act as trustee, hold other fiduciary positions and to establish Group Investment Funds.
The company holds licences under the Financial Markets Supervisors Act 2011 and Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. Each licence is issued by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) and are for a five-year period.
Current licences held are:
• Supervisors Licence
• Corporate Independent Trustee Licence
- A supervisor in respect of debt securities
- A supervisor in respect of registered schemes
- A statutory supervisor in respect of retirement villages
- Act as a corporate independent trustee (for restricted schemes)
