The Investment Committee oversees the investment management strategies and key investment policies for Trustees Executors Private Wealth.
The key priority of the Investment Committee is the best interest of clients and that client assets are well managed within appropriate risk boundaries while meeting the long-term performance objectives.
Investment Committee Independent
Jonathan is an actuary and asset consultant who has worked in private practice for over 30 years. He has advised the New Zealand and Russian Governments on superannuation and investment matters. In 2002 he advised the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade on investment aspects of their pension reforms. In 2004 he conducted the first independent review of the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation for the Treasury.
He is past chair of Workplace Savings (the sister organisation to ASFA) and a past President of the NZ Society of Actuaries. Jonathan was an independent Trustee for the Shell New Zealand Pension Fund for seven years and a non-executive Director of Tainui Group Holdings for six years. He advises a number of Iwi funds, University Endowments, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Charitable Trusts and corporates on investment and superannuation matters.
Chief Financial Officer, BCom, CA
Stuart has over 20 years business management and accounting experience in the service, wholesale and retail industries. He has a further 12 years involvement in product and service administration and development across various industry sectors. Stuart joined Trustees Executors in 2009 and leads the both the corporate finance and trust administration & accounting teams as well as supporting the business units in various financial matters, projects and advisory services.
Investment Services Manager, CFA, AFA
Mike has been with Trustees Executors since 2014, and has led the investment team since 2015. He and his team are responsible for managing the Company’s Group Investment Funds and making investment recommendations for Private Client Portfolios. Mike has more than 10 years of experience in finance and investments including corporate finance and valuation roles at Ernst & Young and Contact Energy, and two years in London where he worked for a global private equity fund. Mike is a CFA® charterholder.
Fraser joined Trustees Executors in early 2015 and is responsible for researching equity investment opportunities in New Zealand and Australia, and for managing the Australasian Equity and Property Investment Funds. Fraser has more than eight years of finance industry experience. Fraser joined Trustees after spending two years in the UK, where he worked as a business analyst for American Express. Prior to this, Fraser spent five years at Forsyth Barr as an Investment Analyst within the research team, with a particular focus on the building, property and tourism sectors.
Chelsea Traver, CFA
Investment & Financial Planning Analyst
Chelsea joined Trustees Executors in June 2018 after more than 5 years in the financial services industry. Her focus is fixed income as well as providing paraplanning support to our advisers. Prior to joining Trustees, Chelsea worked at FNZ heading the Australia and New Zealand Reconciliations team. She originally is from the United States and worked at BNY Mellon as a Sr. Performance Analyst before moving to New Zealand in 2015. Chelsea is a CFA® charterholder and has a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Eliot joined Trustees Executors in April 2019 as an Investment and Financial Planning Analyst to provide support to the Private Wealth Advisers and Group Investment Fund managers. Prior to joining Trustees, Eliot worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for two years in Assurance predominantly focusing on financial services clients, in particular asset management. Eliot holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Taxation and Accounting, and Finance; and a Masters of Applied Finance and Economics from the University of Canterbury. Eliot is also a CFA® Level II candidate.
